2010 Horoscopes for ALL Signs
Get ready! 2010 will be an exciting year for every sign, for several reasons. One of the primarily cosmic culprits is red-hot Mars, the ancient God of War and the current astrological ruler of passion, excitement, and action - obviously, not a boring kind of guy. He'll be wearing Leo, an equally red-hot Fire Sign that will put Mars in the mood to have fun and, even more importantly, to push aggressively to be the star of the show.
Now, Mars usually spends about two months in a sign, but this time, he'll be in Leo for nine months. The thermostat of that sign began to rise when he entered Leo in mid-October of 2009, but it will stay hot until June of 2010. This will give every sign a chance to share the spotlight and make its mark on the world - in many different ways, of course.
For example, you Fire Signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) will have plenty of chances to do something that's at the very top of your list of favorite things: to take chances, in all departments, but most especially in romance, since that's at the top of Leo's specialty list. Now, since Mars rules passion, you'll need to be careful of just how passionate things become - in other words, keep an eye out for jealousy, and don't let little things turn into major issues. Of course, you'll be having so much fun with exciting new friends and unexpected adventures that it's unlikely that will happen, but it's best to be cautious
Since fire and air get along just fine, you Air Signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) will also enjoy Mars' trip through Leo. Fire - heat, that is - makes air move faster, and there's nothing you three signs love better than movement. Don't be surprised to find that a long-term friend may suddenly be interested in more from you - much more, in fact. Your decision, of course, will depend on many factors, but as usual for you intellectual air folk, you'll need to do some serious thinking before you announce your "final answer" to both your prospective new partner - and yourself!
You Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) are experts in the department of emotions, and you won't be left out of the action during 2010.
In fact, all your feelings will be running on high thanks to generous, outgoing Jupiter, the King of the Gods. He'll spend most of the year in sensitive Pisces, who specializes in intuition, tweaking your antennae. Now, providing that you listen to that voice at the back of your head, Jupiter in Pisces will bring each of you absolutely nothing but the best in the department of emotions - and when it gets down to it where you three are concerned, what else really matters?
Speaking of water, from early September through the end of the year, Venus, the Goddess of Love, will tiptoe through sexy, intense Scorpio, bringing all signs the chance to make a wonderful first impression, no matter who you're meeting or why you want to put them under your spell.
If you're single, you should be careful not to toy with anyone's feelings. If you're not truly interested, don't flirt - not even a little. If you're extremely interested, go ahead and have at it! You definitely won't be refused.
If you're attached, let's just say that your partner better be ready to take your relationship to the next step - to a far deeper level, that is - because you certainly will be, and if they stall you might start looking around for the next lucky contender.
As for you materially fortunate Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn), you'll have some wonderful planetary envoys of your own on duty, including respectable, responsible Saturn, who'll be in Virgo until July 21, urging all three of you to work hard on your finances and take good care of your possessions. There's no denying Saturn, so prepare to work, and work hard. Now, you've never been afraid of hard work, so instead of being a weight around your neck, Saturn will be a powerful ally.
Let's look more into power. Remember that Pluto, an extremely powerful planet (yes, of course he's still an astrological planet!), will spend the year in earthy Capricorn, endowing all of you Earth Signs with what will feel like actual super powers once you set your sights on something - or someone. Talk about empowering!
As if this isn't enough to let you know - positively, absolutely, and once and for all - that you're in charge of your own destiny, there's the Solar Eclipse of January 15 and the Lunar Eclipse of June 26, both of which will be quite helpful. Eclipses bring together the heaven's "lights" - the Sun and Moon - pointing them both toward the same result. In this case, both will occur in sturdy Capricorn, Saturn's own sign, so no matter how you look at it, you Earth Signs will be super-charged with energy this year.
In a nutshell, during 2010, every Sun Sign will be given a jumpstart in one way or another! Regardless of which sign you are or which planets are working with you to help you make changes in your life, your mission is to enjoy it, cooperate, and, above all else, enjoy every moment of your exciting new year!
Now, read on. Your monthly forecasts will help you see how to work with all these energies as well as others we haven't mentioned yet to make them work for you - which really won't be all that hard once you know what to expect, and how to deal with the possibilities they present. Most of all, remember that it's our reactions to what life tosses our way that shape our attitudes, and our attitudes shape our lives. Stay positive, and your life will be positive

CHENNAI: The area under the Chennai Corporation limits is set to expand by over two times, with the State government issuing an order for merger of several neighbouring local bodies with it. It would be 426 sq km after the merger as against 174 sq km now.
Seven municipalities, three town panchayats and 13 panchayat unions in Tiruvallur district and two municipalities, five town panchayats and 12 panchayat unions in Kancheepuram district would merge with the Corporation, according to the government order. The G.O. said that the elected representatives of the local bodies would continue in their posts until 2011 when the next elections would be held. The decision on formation of two new corporations — Chennai-Avadi and Chennai-Tambaram — would be taken later, the government order said.
As regards Chennai Corporation, the formation of new wards in the merged entities would be based on the population. The 155 wards currently in the Chennai Corporation would also be redrawn on this basis.
The Chennai Corporation Commissioner has been given the power to delineate the wards, zones and reclassify existing wards. If need be, he can designate an Officer on Special Duty. A report pertaining to the delineation and reclassification must be submitted to the government within six months.
The municipalities that would be part of the expanded Chennai Corporation are Kathivakkam, Tiruvottiyur, Manali, Madhavaram, Ambattur, Maduravoyal, Valasaravakkam, Alandur and Ullagaram-Puzhudhivakkam.
The town panchayats are Chinna Sekkadu, Puzhal, Porur, Nandambakkam, Meenambakkam, Perungudi, Pallikaranai and Sholinganallur.
The panchayat unions identified are Edayanchavady, Sadayankuppam, Kattapakkam, Theeyampakkam, Mathur, Vada Perumbakkam, Surapet, Kathirvedu, Puthagaram, Nolambur, Karambakkam, Nerkundram, Ramapuram, Mugaliwakkam, Manapakkam, Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Neelankarai, Injambakkam, Karapakkam, Okkiam Thoraipakkam, Madipakkam, Jaladampet, Semmanchery and Uthandi.

About Joy of Giving WeekJoy of Giving week is a platform for your Company to join millions of Indians doing something for a cause. It is a unique opportunity for brands to benefit by showing their stakeholders that they care. Reach out to your customers, distributors, vendors and suppliers, employees, shareholders and the community to create a novel “giving supply chain” during the Week.
There are various ways in which your Company can engage-
1. have employees volunteer, raise awareness or donate in kind or financially to a cause of their choice. Choosing a charity by consensus across employees will help create more excitement and buy in by them.
2. Engage your customers through a Cause Related Marketing event or activity and incentivise them by offering to make donations on their behalf (e.g., offering to donate Rs100 per bank account opened during the Week, or a percentage of your sales during the Week to a cause).
3. Sponsor “giving events” that are consistent with your brand proposition
4. Offer resources to NGOs and individuals organizing “giving events” during the Week- e.g,. storage space for a clothes collection drive, a large auditorium for a fundraising dinner, promotional messages on your packaging and access to underutilized infrastructure like vacant airline seats and hotel rooms, in exchange for relevant branding opportunities.
CEOs of reputed companies can also sign up for the ISB “CEO Shadow Auction”, allowing a premiere MBA student to shadow you at work on a day of your choice… by bidding for it and donating the bid amount to your chosen charity.
Our website will shortly allow you to register your Event or Activity and allow you to offer resources to NGOs and individuals organizing events. So start figuring out how you can get involved!

India's maiden moon mission Chandrayaan-I has detected evidence of water across the lunar surface, scientists announced today.
Moon Mineralogy Mapper, a NASA instrument onboard Chandrayaan-I, detected wavelengths of reflected light that would indicate a chemical bond between hydrogen and oxygen in materials on the thin layer of upper soil.
The Moon Mineralogy Mapper or M3 has confirmed existence of water on moon by analysing the data collected from Chandrayaan-I.
The finding ends four-decade long speculation on whether there is water on moon.
Scientists first claimed that water existed on moon about 40 years ago after they analysed rock samples brought to earth as souvenirs by Apollo astronauts.
But they had doubts about the findings as the boxes in which the moon rocks were brought to earth had leaked contaminating the samples with air from the atmosphere.

The traditional six day countdown to Mahasaptami starts from Mahalaya. Goddess Durga visits the earth for only four days but seven days prior to the Pujas, starts the Mahalaya. The enchanting
voice of Birendra Krishna Bhadra fill up the predawn hours of the day thus marking the beginning of " devipaksha " and the beginning of the count-down of Durga Puja. Sarat in its bloom, mingled with the festive spirit of Durga Puja reaches its pitch on the day of Mahalaya. From this day starts 'Devipaksha' and marks the end of 'Pitri-paksha'.
It is the day when many throng to the banks of river Ganga, clad in dhotis to offer prayers to their dead relatives and forefathers.People in the pre-dawn hours pray for their demised relatives and take holy dips in the Ganges. This ritual is known as
'Torpon'. This day bears immense significance for the Bengalis. It is according to the myths that Sree Rama hastily performed Durga Puja just before he set for Lanka to rescue Sita from Ravana.
According to Puranas, King Suratha, used to worship goddess Durga in spring. Thus Durga Puja was also known as Basanti Puja. But Rama preponed the Puja and worshiped Durga in autumn and that is why it is known as 'Akal Bodhon' or untimely worship. It was considered untimely as it is in the myths that puja was performed when the Gods and Goddesses were awake i.e. "Uttarayan" and was not held when the Gods and Goddesses rested ie."Dakshinayan".
It was on the day of Mahalaya,the beginning of "devipaksha",the Gods and Goddesses woke up to prepare themselves for Durga Puja. Akashvani Mahalaya: In the year 1930, Mahalaya was first broadcasted over the radio in Akashvani. The programme was organised by Premankur Aatorthi, Birendra Krishna Bhadra, Nripendra Krishna Mukhopadhya and Raichand Boral. It was broadcasted live then. Later it was recorded and played. Bengal's cine star, Uttam Kumar had once recited Mahalaya while Hemanta Kumar Mukhopadhya was the music director. But it was not popular among the mass and from then it has always been the voice of Birendra Kishna Bhadra enthralling the listeners in the pre-dawn hours of Mahalaya. The script was written by Bani Kumar, music was directed by Pankaj Kumar Mallik while Dijen Mukhopadhya, Manobendra Mukhopadhya (Tabo Achinta....), Sandhya Mukhopadhya, Arati Mukhopadhya, Utpala Sen, Shyamal Mitra and Supriti Ghosh (Bajlo tomar alor benu....) sang in their melodious voices.

The Day Sep 15 is celebrated every year in India as Engineer's Day to Commemorate the birthday of the lengendary engineer
Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (1861-1962).
He is a recipient of the Indian republic's highest honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955. He was also knighted by the British for his myriad contributions to the public good. Every year, 15 September is celebrated as the Engineer's Day in India in his memory and is a public holiday in some places, especially his birth state Karnataka.
Internationally recognised for his genius in harnessing water resources, he was responsible for successful design and construction of several river dams, bridges and implementing irrigation and drinking water schemes all over India.
He served as the dewan of Mysore State and was considered to be the architect of the all-round development of Karnataka.
Among his most successful projects are the design and construction of the K.R. Sagar dam and its adjoining Brindavan Gardens, turn-around of the Bhadravati Iron and Steel Works, setting up of the Mysore Sandalwood Oil Factory and the founding of the Bank of Mysore.

Bangalore: Harbhajan Singh today found himself in a fresh controversy after jabbing at a cameraman at the Bangalore International Airport before leaving for the tri-series in Sri Lanka.
The feisty off-spinner, who very often finds himself in the news for all the wrong reasons, jabbed at a cameraman after the camera had hit him on the head while he was taking his luggage out from a car before entering the airport.
Harbhajan gave an angry stare at the cameraman even as a security personnel tried to push back the hordes of lensmen who had virtually mobbed the cricketer.
The 29-year-old Punjab spinner has a rather dubious disciplinary record, having been penalised for various offences during his career.
Harbhajan was accused of racially abusing Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds in Sydney and the 2007 'monkey-gate' incident snowballed into a major crisis, threatening to tear apart the cricketing world.

Lights Off Nine Minutes|09-09-2009|Lights off Nine Minutes Chennai|Global Warming|99999|Switch off Nine Minutes|090909 09 september 2009 09-09-09 09-09-2009
On September 9, 2009, get set to switch off extra lights at 9pm for 9 minutes. The 99999 initiative is yet another unique way to
encourage citizens to pledge their support to fight climate change. The climate change campaign has found support from an unlikely quarter, a collective of bankers from across the country who have conceptualized this initiative.
The All India Bank Employees' Association, along with Chennai-based NGO Exnora International, is involved with a nationwide programme to involve participation from all possible quarters to join in its annual `lights off' initiative. The association an umbrella body for 45 commercial banks, 90 regional and rural banks and all co-operative banks is promoting the idea in about 78,000 outlets falling under it.
"We are distributing leaflets and badges and have put up posters in all the affiliated branches. While the programme is definitely better planned and has a bigger outreach in the southern and western parts of the country due to Exnora's involvement, we are trying to reach out to as many people as possible through our branches elsewhere,'' said C H Venkatachalam, joint secretary of the association.
In Chennai the hub of 99999 activity the association is receiving support from even the municipal corporation. "This is only our second year and we hope to expand our reach before the initiative kicks off next year,'' he added.
Last year, the bankers organized the event on August 8, calling it the 88888 campaign. Next year, said Venkatachalam, the programme would aim at switching off non-essential lights for 10 hours. "The 1010 101010 initiative would be organized on October 10, 2010 during which we will aim at switching off lights from 10pm to 6am.
This campaign comes in the midst of a similar initiative of the Delhi government under which it organises a one hour lights-off campaign every third month.

Swine Flu|What is Swine flu|Symptoms of Swine flu|How to prevent from Swine flu|
Swine Flu |Swine Flu Symptoms|Swine Flu prevention |Swine Flu|What is Swine flu|Symptoms of Swine flu|How to prevent from Swine flu|Home remedies for Swine flu
Though Swine Flu is seen as an outbreak in Mexico and has reached the shores of India, it will be better to know about Swine Flu, its symptoms and the preventive measures against this disease, to prevent its spread across the globe.
What is Swine Flu and does it affect People?
Swine Flu is a respiratory disease in pigs, caused by a virus. The swine flu virus routinely causes outbreaks in pigs but doesn’t usually kill many of them. Swine flu viruses doesn’t usually infect human beings. However, people who have had direct contact with infected pigs, such as farm workers, may contract this disease. swine flu outbreak has been reported in the Mexico-U.S borders and is threatening to spread to other countries. The disease is now believed to be spread from human to human.
Human to Human transmission can occur with casual contact or airborne transmission, like when one sneezes or coughs. However, eating pork products will not cause one to develop the swine flu. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe. Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 160°F kills the swine flu virus as it does other bacteria and viruses.
Symptoms Of Swine Flu In Humans?
The symptoms of swine flu in people are expected to be similar to the symptoms of regular human seasonal influenza and include
* fever,
* lethargy,
* Lack of Appetite,
* Cough,
* Running Nose,
* Sore Throat,
* Nausea,
* Headaches,
* Joint Pains,
* Body Aches,
* Vomiting and
* Diarrhea
How to Protect against Spine Flu?
The CDC recommends routine precautions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases like Spine Flu. These include
* Washing hands routinely with soap and warm water,
* Covering your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze and
* Avoiding close contact with sick people
Wearing a N99 mask, such as the Wein ViraMask may be helpful. N99 masks provide 100 x more protection than a N95 mask. If you are planning on traveling by air, having one available would be a good idea.
If you contract the swine flu, there are 2 flu medications which can be helpful. The CDC recommends the use of oseltamivir or zanamivir for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with swine influenza viruses. These medications can also be used for the usual avian influenza. Remember- most with flu symptoms simply have a viral infection and NOT the Swine Flu.
Home Remedies for Swine Flu:
Use “Nilgiri Oil” drops on handkerchiefs and masks as one of the preventive measures against swine flu (N I V) National Institute of Vairology. Don’t know whether its true. But one this is true that Nilgiri Oil can surely be helpful in curing running nose which is one on the symptoms of Swine Flu.
Influenzinum is Used for emergency preparedness for flu mutations or for use when new strains are not available, such as the bird flu or current swine flu concern.
Influenzinum is a great flu defense to prevent spreading the flu and for relief of flu symptoms during fall, winter and spring illnesses.
Homeopathic Influenzinum has several differences from flu vaccine. Homeopathy is safely taken by mouth, is diluted and contains no molecules of virus, is not injected, and is without allergy causing whole proteins, eggs or preservatives, such as mercury.
Avoid the dangers of the flu shot and chemicals. Vaccine sprays can perpetuate spread of illness with live viruses. Vaccines suppress your system and should not be given if already ill. There are no contraindications to homeopathy. Homeopathic Influenzinum stimulates the body’s own defense system to resist the onset of flu.

The circumstances of Jackson’s death were not immediately clear.
