Introduction: The Department of Information Technology of KCG College Of Technology, Chennai is organizing TECHZAVEST ‘09, a National Level Technical Symposium on the 3rd Of October, 2009. This Symposium is aimed at increasing the competence and Technical Awareness among students. There are many events such as Paper Presentation, Debugging, Quiz, Web Designing etc. Please use the links above to get information about the events, schedule etc. Prizes worth Rs 1 Lakh to be won!
Paper Presentation: Paper Presentation at Techzavest ‘09 gives you the opportunities to present your innovations of today and inventions of tomorrow to the right audience. This event provides you with the perfect exposure to the best in the industry and a wonderful opportunity to showcase your talents.
Event Format: Only Pre-Selected papers can be presented on the day of the symposium. The contestants are required to send only a soft copy of their entry along with an abstract (not more than 100 words) to the following mail id: paper@techzavest.com with subject “Paper Presentation” latest by 23:59:59 on September 25th, 2009. The paper must be typed single-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font and be no more than 12 pages. Only text directly related to the item being presented and any accompanying illustrations, tables, figures, etc., will count toward the 12-page limit. Title pages, tables of contents, and bibliographies shall not be counted toward the limit. All papers should have a bibliography / works-cited page and appropriate footnotes. Papers omitting a bibliography or using plagiarized material will be automatically disqualified. Selected papers/teams will be informed by September 28th, 2009.
Rules: Maximum of 2 persons per team. Individual entries are allowed. Inter College teams are allowed. One way reimbursement of train fare is available for all out station finalists. Each team/entrant must formally present his or her paper at the day of the event. Presentations must be no longer than 8 minutes. A 5-minute question-and-answer period will follow the presentation of the paper. Questions may be posed by judges and/or students attending the presentation. Presentations may be accompanied by visual aids.
